Transportation Intern Program

Transportation Intern Program

The Transportation Intern Program (TIP) facilitates experiential learning by placing undergraduate and graduate students of transportation related degree programs with government agencies responsible for the planning, maintenance and construction of transportation networks and infrastructure at the local level.  These agencies include the public works departments of county, municipal and tribal governments, Circuit Engineering Districts (CEDs), and the Councils on Government (COGs).  Student interns assist these agencies with transportation related projects, tasks and activities during a paid summer internship. The project provides student interns with valuable real world experience that relates to the course work they have taken, their major field of study and their future careers.
